I have always been fascinated by nature in general and by animals in the particular. Especially birds had to me something mysterious I was not able to identify.

But birds were usually too small and quick to be caught within the pencil and the pad, so I took, as a model for my drawings, the pictures on my science books.
As a child, I loved extinct animals and I spent many evenings drawing dinosaurs or ancient mammals like megaloceras, and modelling them in plasticine too.

I’ve studied English Languages and my professional experience is mainly as a tourist information clerk and an English Literature teacher. But progressively I’ve become more and more interested in making illustrations and sculptures of extinct species.

In the last years, thanks to the Internet, I’ve read several scientific papers on evolution and learnt how closely birds and non avian dinosaurs are related...and now I understand why birds had always been magical to me.

Recently, I’ve participated in I Encuentro de Paleoarte held in Madrid during last month, where I’ve shown my researches for a restoration of a juvenile Deinonychus with certain flight capacities, according to the proposal in the article by Parsons & Parsons (2015).
